Leadership Academy Coordinator – Pat Haley
We have a ‘great package’ of information and instruction for our Sunshine Chapters and it is time for each Chapter to register their 2011 new officers for Leadership Academy on January 8-9, 2011. The District will provide an outstanding teaching staff, as always. See the Faculty list below. Good food, excellent rooms, and outstanding entertainment are the ‘norm.’ Watch this space for information on who will be there to perform for the afterglow.
Leadership Academy 2011 will be held at The Plantation Inn Golf Resort and Spa, in Crystal River, Florida. Please mark your calendars for January 8 – 9, and plan to attend. As you know, it is critical to the success of your Chapter to have your officers participate in Leadership Academy.
The Academy will include Lunch and Dinner on Saturday; as well as hors d’oeuvres at the afterglow. Additionally, Sunday breakfast will be served.
Registration will open on Saturday morning (January 8th) at 10:00am. The first session will start promptly at 11:00am. The final session should conclude around 11:00am on Sunday.

- Music & Performance
- Marketing & Public Relations
- Chapter Development
- Chorus Director
- CSLT/CSR
- Leadership Skills/BHS Organization
- Chapter Meetings
- The Art of Bulletin Editing
- Web Site Development
Tuition and Room:
Saturday Session Only (NO housing) — $?.00/person
Saturday Night Stay Only: Double Occupancy (2 per room) — $?.00/person
Single Occupancy (1 person per room) — $?.00/person
Extra Room days — $?.00/room per day
Please note: The room rate can only be guaranteed for reservations made by 9:00pm on Monday, December 1, 2011.
To make reservations for your Chapter, please e-mail Pat Haley, at leadac@sunshinedistrict.org, with the following information for each person attending:
- Name of Person Attending
- Course Track (Office – i.e. President, Chapter Meetings, Secretary, etc.)
- Room Type
- Single Occupancy
- Double Occupancy
- Roommate’s Name (if Double Occupancy)
- Check-In/Check-Out dates for Extra room days
Additionally, please contact Pat directly if any special consideration is needed (disability accessible room, traveling with a guest, extended stay required, dietary needs, etc.).
