With a score of 2254 (83.5 average) they are the Plateau AAA Champions and received the highest overall score by a margin of 160 points. Congratulations to Director Alex Rubin and all the young men of the HD Chorus. In other Tucson news, Rusty Pipes (JAD) is the new International Seniors Champion, and our representative to the contest, OLD GUYS RULE, finished in 11th place. 5th place International Medalist and current Sunshine District Quartet Champions Main Street was unable to perform on the Friday night show, but the audience was delighted by another SUN favorite, The Humdingers, who appeared in their place closing the evening with a high energy show. Next year the MidWinter Convention will return to the Sunshine District, so make plans to attend January 8-13 in Orlando.

The one hour show will feature the SDAQC chorus under the direction of Tony DeRosa, and cameo appearances by past District champs. So far, the show consists of One Shot Deal, Backbeat, Rounders, Wise Guys as well as our current champs, The PURSUIT.

Furthermore, we are thrilled to announce that our headliners will be the fabulous Suntones… 50 years after their winning of the International Quartet Championship. Without question, the Tones are the most famous quartet to ever come from the Sunshine District, and we’re thrilled they have agreed to perform for our first SDAQC show!

There will be NO additional charge for this show! It will be included with the convention all events registration or a Friday night individual event ticket. The Fall convention is once again to be held at the Orlando Marriott Airport. Don’t miss this one!

With almost 1100 attendees, this convention topped them all!! 

The Tampa Heralds of Harmony have done it again and were crowned Sunshine District Chorus Champions. 

Sunshine is sending FIVE quartets to the International Contest in Kansas City this July. Congratulations to Main Street, The PURSUIT, and Flashback! 

iQuartet is the Sunshine District Collegiate Quartet Champion. Both iQuartet and Click will compete for the collegiate prize in Kansas City.

Double Play wins the Seniors contest.
