11.15.2008 » Sunshine District Announces New Coaches Guild
The Sunshine District Coaches Guild is comprised of men that currently coach or that have a great deal of Barbershop Harmony experience that can communicate their knowledge within a coaching situation. The mission is to offer excellent coaching at a reasonable cost and to provide the organizational network to help our District groups connect with these coaches.
How does it work? Beginning January 1, 2009, the District will offer the Guild services to up to 20 groups per year. Chapters and quartets may submit an official Coaching request form (available on the Coaches Guild page) to the District Director of Music and Performance. He will review the request and consider the groups current performance level and match their skill set and requested area of expertise (music, singing, and presentation) to an available coach. The coaching session will be offered in 2-hour increments after which time the coach may choose to extend the session at his discretion.
Get more information on the Coaches Guild page and start planning your Coaching Session, now!

09.10.2008 » Labor Day Jamboree is Relocating in 2009
Now that Labor Day Jamboree 2008 is in the bag, you have to know that the LDJ committee has been frantically working on a contract for a new host home... something that takes us a step closer to LDJ's grassroots beginnings. The room rates are more reasonable, taxes are less, and our group will be a big fish in a smaller pond so to speak.
Please check it out at LDJ's new website www.labordayjamboree.com!
I hope that you'll be as crazy excited as I am! I welcome your feedback!!
